Somerset Scythe School is here to teach the traditional art of mowing with a scythe.Woodland, meadow, lawn, allotment, churchyard, footpath: the scythe manages them all.Quieter, quicker and more efficient and environmentally friendly than modern machines, the traditional scythe is making a comeback.

Age 7 to 87+ you can learn to use a scythe.

Buy a scythe. I am a UK distributor for scythes made by the Schröckenfux factory in Austria where they have been made since 1540. Austrian scythe blades are recognized around the world as being of the highest quality.

I have a range of blades in stock to cope with varying needs and snaths (handles) for users of almost any height.
